Huawei Y9 2019-January 10, 4,000mAh battery SmartPhone was supposed to launch the affordable Y9 (2019) smartphone in India on Monday, January 7th, but the company had to reschedule the reasons unknown. The phone will now go official on Thursday, January 10 at an event in New Delhi that will begin at 10:30 am. The Huawei Y9's price and availability will be revealed at this event. What we do know for now is that the phone will launch as an Amazon exclusive device.

The Huawei Y9 (2019) will be the first smartphone for the Indian market this year. The launch will take place only a few days before the launch of the Honor 10 Lite by Huawei's sub-brand. Both the Y9 (2019) and the Honor 10 Lite are expected to be priced close to each considering they both run the same Kirin 710 chipset. It is possible that the Y9 is priced slightly higher considering its pricing devices more competitively, but only after the price of the difference between the 10th and 10th Honor is also official.

The budget Huawei phone has been officially out of India for a few months now so we already know everything about the phone. The Huawei Y9 (2019) touts an attractive 3D arc design on the back with a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. It comes in three colors - Midnight Black, Sapphire Blue, and a gradient Aurora Purple.

The new Huawei Y9 also sports a massive 6.5-inch FHD + (1080x2340) FullView display with a notch. It gets a fittingly large 4,000mAh battery capacity as well. Like the Honor 10 Lite, the Huawei Y9 (2019) also runs an octa-core Kirin 710 chipset. This is coupled with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. While Y9 was launched in October with EMUI 8.2 based on Android Oreo, it is likely that the phone will come to India running Android Pie with EMUI 9 on top.

The Huawei Y9 (2019) also comes with the dual cameras on the rear and front. On the back, it gets a 13MP primary sensor and a 2MP secondary sensor. Up front, the phone gets a 16MP + 2MP configuration.
