The nubia Red Magic 3 Snapdragon 855+ variant has just been announced by the Chinese tech giant. The phone was launched in India last month with the Snapdragon 855 processor. Now, the company will be launching a new nubia Red Magic 3 with slightly upgraded performance features in the near future. Notably, the Snapdragon 855+ processor was just announced yesterday. Soon after the launch, a handful of companies including Realme and ASUS announced that they will adopt the new chipset. As for the nubia Red Magic 3’s new more powerful edition, its launch date hasn’t been announced at the moment and there’s no word if it will replace the Snapdragon 855 variant or if both will exist
side-by-side.

Nubia hasn’t yet revealed how different the Snapdragon 855+ processor-powered model of the Redmi Magic 3 will be in terms of specs than the earlier variant. We do know that the new variant will offer mid-life performance upgrades and graphics improvements, thanks to the new chipset. The new SoC is touted to offer a 15 percent increase in graphics output and four percent performance enhancements. The chipset offers a clock speed of 2.96GHz, higher than the 2.84GHz present on its predecessor.

As for the earlier nubia Red Magic 3, it arrived as the world’s first phone to sport a built-in cooling fan. The handset has pressure-sensitive trigger buttons on the edges, which can be customised for a four-finger grip to play games like PUBG Mobile. The phone also sports customised haptic feedback for game sounds and scenes. The other highlights of the device include a 6.65-inch full HD+ AMOLED display with 90Hz refresh rate, up to 12GB of RAM, a 48MP Sony IMX586 camera at the back, and a 5,000mAh battery with 27W fast charging support.
