Ohio State's winning streak against Michigan is now at eight games after the No. 2 Buckeyes beat the 11th-ranked Wolverines 56-27 in Ann Arbor.

J.K. Dobbins ran for four touchdowns and Justin Fields threw for four scores as Ohio State stayed unbeaten and on track for the College Football Playoff with the win. Next up is the Big Ten championship game. The opponent will be either No. 9 Minnesota or No. 14 Wisconsin. The Badgers and Golden Gophers play later Saturday.

In the 115th meeting between the schools, Ohio State had the two best players on the field. Dobbins finished with a career-high 211 yards on 31 carries. His four touchdowns were also the most in a game during his three seasons at Ohio State. Fields completed 14 of 25 passes for 302 yards.

Three of Dobbins' scores came in the first half as the Buckeyes led 28-16 at halftime, helped some miscues by Michigan.

Wolverines quarterback Shea Patterson lost a fumble at the Ohio State 12 with the score 21-13. On the ensuing drive, an offsides penalty on Michigan as the Buckeyes were preparing to punt extended the possession. Two plays later, Dobbins was in the end zone for another touchdown on a 5-yard run...

The lead grew to 42-16 in the third quarter after Fields found Garrett Wilson in the end zone for a 30-yard scoring pass in his first play after leaving the game earlier on the drive with an apparent knee injury.

Michigan started a comeback by taking advantage of Wilson's mishandling of a punt. A field goal on that drive and then a Hassan Haskins touchdown run and two-point conversion cut the deficit to 15.

After getting the ball back early in the fourth quarter, the Wolverines were stopped on fourth-and-1 from their 29. Ohio State scored four plays later as Fields hit Austin Mack for a 16-yard touchdown to effectively end the game with 10 minutes left. Dobbins added the final score on a 33-yard run,

The loss left Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh 0-5 against his biggest rival. The previous four defeats were with Urban Meyer as coach of the Buckeyes. This one came against in his first matchup against Ryan Day.
